What started as a bet between Justice and Leslie Bessent to design the perfect pair of shoes sparked a passion for design that neither of them expected.

This couple shares a mutual agreement that women dress from the shoes up. Being both detail orientated and perfectionists, they set out to create the best women’s shoes to create memories in. This power couple of design and quality hopes you experience life to the fullest in their very intimate and personal brand, Agnes Bethel.

Our Muse

Agnes Bethel is a tribute to the core essence of whom my mother is and my dedication to her sacrifices to put her family first.

Agnes Bethel is a real women and a real muse. Mother of head designer Justice, she was an immigrant, hardworking, but always put together elegant woman. She came from the small island of Petite Martinique, Grenada, and there found her deep passion for making clothes and appreciation for fine clothes.

At age 22, Agnes left Grenada for the United States to pursue a fashion career with the hopes of owning her own fashion house. Life had other plans and her passions of becoming a fashion designer quickly shifted and her desire and focus became her family. From time to time Agnes Bethel continued to design and create on a smaller scale, never really getting an opportunity to showcase her talent to the world.

Her son and his wife have taken her inspiration and goals into this brand that carries her name is good fortune.

Pronounced Agnes (Beth – Elle), Justice & Leslie Bessent’s goal is to build a brand of diversity and inclusion. This husband and wife team nurtured Agnes Bethel to fill a void of new luxury heritage brands with family roots and life’s inspiration.

Our MISSION is to uplift and empower women to live authentically regardless of societal norms and create the life they want to live in luxury footwear designed to create memories in.

Our VISION is to elevate our clients closet and adorn their feet with limited edition collections that cannot be found anywhere else in the world while also reducing our carbon footprint as a slow fashion brand.

Our DESIGNS complement and enhance the natural beauty of a woman in her everyday life. We deeply believe the right pair of shoes can change your day and even your destiny.
